Lahore mein Land Cruiser 2LT Turbo repair kahan se karwayain?

kya apne turbo kharab hone se pehle fuel filter aur air filter check karwaye thay? Kabhi kabhi ye choti cheezein hi turbo ke performance ko itna effect karti hain ke lagta hai turbo hi pura kharab hai.

I have used Carigar Restomods for turbo issues in Lahore and found their work quite reliable. They do proper diagnostics and use genuine parts which makes a big difference in how long the repair lasts.

@Riley Morgan good question about how to know if the turbo balancing or machining was actually done properly. Usually, a proper workshop will do a dynamic balancing test after repair, which involves spinning the turbo shaft at high RPMs on a specialized machine to check for vibration levels.

If they do not have that testing setup or just replace parts without balancing, chances are the problem may return sooner. a test drive after repair is also important, but vibration testing is the more reliable indicator.

Some shops like Carigar Restomods in Garden Town usually show you proof by letting you see the balancing machine in action or give before and after test runs.

That kind of transparency helps build trust and confirm the repair was thorough. Also, about that whistle sound when accelerating, it can sometimes be normal depending on turbo design, but if it is accompanied by lag or smoke, then shaft play or seal damage is more likely. So proper diagnostics before repair really save you from wasted money.

@Zain Ul Abideen thanks for explaining the balancing test, I did not know about this dynamic balancing before. do most workshops actually have this machine or is it kind of rare?

i mean if I find a workshop that says they do balancing, how do I verify ke woh machine sach mein unke paas ho?

Also, after repair, if turbo still makes a bit of whistle sound on acceleration but gaari chalti toh koi masla nahi, toh kya ye normal samjha jaye ya fir koi aur issue ho sakta hai?

@Khadija Rehman Sure, filters might cause some issues, but when a turbo is going weak, it is usually a bigger problem than just dirty filters. i have seen cases where people wasted time blaming filters, only to find out later that the turbo shaft was loose or seals were cracked.

If dirty filters were the only issue, the drop in power would not be as significant as with a full turbo failure. both things should be checked at the same time for a proper diagnosis.

For serious turbo problems, you should go to a certified place like Carigar Restomods or Auto Levels. They will conduct a proper inspection beyond just cleaning filters. Even after regularly checking filters, I still needed turbo repair done eventually.:)
