kinda stuck on whether I should go for a used car rather than a new one. feels like every person I ask tells me something different. i know buying new gives that raw excitement and zero-mileage charm, but the depreciation hit is brutal. i just lost a bunch of potential savings while trying to navigate through OLX and Facebook Marketplace, where I thought I found a good deal on a used Civic. turned out the car had some hidden issues that weren’t mentioned, so I backed out last minute. now I'm back to square one, confused about my next move. wondering if anyone else faced the same dilemma and what you eventually decided?
with fuel prices climbing almost every month, I keep thinking maybe a used hybrid or something reliable like a Corolla would be a better bet. i'm using pakwheels and browsing through local dealers, but haven't found something that feels worth the price yet. have you guys had better luck getting a reliable used car, or do you think a new car is the way to go despite the initial price hike? would really appreciate your thoughts or experiences with buying used especially since the car market's been so unpredictable lately.
