I am planning to buy a used car here in Karachi, but I am quite confused about how to accurately check its value. There are so many websites and apps that claim to give you the correct market value, but I am not sure which one is the most reliable.
I have been using PakWheels to get some idea, but I am looking for something more specific or different perhaps. The thing is, when you are investing your hard-earned money, you want to make sure every rupee counts.
Plus, I noticed that prices can vary significantly, and it gets really confusing. Has anyone tried using some other platforms like OLX or even international ones?
Do they give a good enough estimate for local cars?
I am also on a tight budget and I want to make sure I am not overpaying for a vehicle that might not hold its value in the long term.
I have heard from some friends that getting a car inspection done by a professional could also help in assessing if the car’s worth the price tag, especially in terms of future resale value.
If anyone has tried this, I would love to know how that went and if it truly makes a big difference. I am thinking of cars in the price range of 800k to 1.2 million PKR, and reliability is key.
Another thing on my mind is how to find the right time to buy since the market seems to fluctuate frequently. Any tips on timing would be great too. Looking forward to any insights or tips you guys might have!
