I am looking to buy a midsize truck, and resale value is a big deal for me, especially by the time we hit 2026.
Things move so fast these days, and I really want to make sure I am putting my money into something that will hold up in value years from now.
I have heard a mixed bag of opinions, but Toyota Tacoma is a name that keeps coming up. Some of the stuff I have seen says it might retain up to 80.1% of its value after five years...
Sounds pretty impressive if you ask me. I am working with a budget of around $35,000, so getting this right is super important. Apart from the Tacoma, I am also looking at the Ford Ranger and Honda Ridgeline, but I am not as clear on how they do resale-wise.
I am curious if anyone here has personal experiences or knowledge about these trucks or others I might be overlooking. I came across some articles that seem to favor the Toyota, but real-world advice is gold.
Also, if anyone else is from Austin and knows of good spots to check out these trucks, that would really help me out. I need to make a decision sooner rather than later, hopefully in the next couple of months, so any advice or suggestions on this would be awesome.
I am aiming to lock in a decision that I will not regret, and any input from you guys would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch for your help!
