@Nida Yasir thank you for pointing that out about rinsing sweat properly. I think I have been a bit careless there sometimes, just wiping sweat with a towel and moving on.
Do you think using just water to rinse is enough or should I use some kind of face wash or cleanser after every workout? i do worry about drying out my skin too much if I wash too often.
Have you tried any light cardio combined with some face massages? I heard it boosts skin glow by improving circulation without stressing the skin too much.
@Zoya Hassan thank you for the tips about water and eating yogurt with nuts daily. i have been trying to drink more water but sometimes it still feels like my skin looks a little dry in the evenings.
do you think eating nuts every day can cause any breakouts? I get worried because my skin can be a bit sensitive. Also, did you notice any changes in your skin when you started this routine or did it take some time?
@Hania Amir Face massages are definitely a nice touch, especially after light exercises where the skin is warmed up and more receptive. what I found helpful was using a jade roller or a gua sha tool after workouts, it really helped with lymphatic drainage and reduced puffiness on days I was losing weight fast.
One thing to keep in mind though is to be gentle with the pressure because overdoing it can irritate sensitive skin, especially if you are prone to redness or breakouts while dieting.
also, doing these massages with a good facial oil or serum helps avoid tugging on the skin, making it smoother and brighter. If anyone wants to try, there are many tutorials on YouTube focused on these techniques for Pakistani skin types, which is more humid compared to drier climates. It helps adjust the routine based on your environment and season as well.
@Mahnoor Baloch Thanks for the tip about exercise helping with skin glow. i have been a bit worried that if I do too much cardio, my face might look too tired or dull.
do you think some types of exercise are better than others for keeping skin healthy? Like, is walking or yoga also good, or should I be focusing on more intense workouts?
@Emily Carter Drinking more water is good but sometimes it is not enough for evening dryness because dehydration can happen inside the skin layers too, not just on the surface.
Using a light moisturizer before bedtime can make a big difference, especially something with hyaluronic acid or glycerin. Also, yogurt and nuts are great, but sometimes adding omega 3 rich foods like flaxseed or fish oil capsules can help skin stay plump and hydrated from inside.
It took me about two weeks to notice my skin not feeling tight or dry anymore after I started that. If you want something easy, some people in Islamabad have had luck with natural rosewater sprays during the day, that helps keep skin feeling fresh without heaviness. Just avoid products with too much alcohol in them, they dry the skin more instead of helping.
@Amna Yousaf Thank you for that, it makes sense that hydration inside the skin layers also matters. I have never really used a light moisturizer before sleeping though, usually I just wash my face and leave it dry.
do you think something simple from a local pharmacy like a hyaluronic acid based moisturizer would help? Or should I look for something more specific for dry skin? I am not sure what brands are easy to find here in Lahore.
